Consulting leadership and management experts Peter Block and Alan Weiss will explore the challenges and the complexity of consulting during the opening keynote at the 2016 IMC USA National Conference October 21-23 in Washington, D.C.

More information is at www.imcusaconference.org.

Based on his book, Flawless Consulting, Block will discuss how to have leadership influence and act as a partner. Block will also reflect on four decades as a consultant. The challenges, the meaning, and perspective on why it’s such a valuable thing to do. He will talk about consulting as a career whether internal or you have your own practice.

Weiss will deliver the closing keynote on Sunday morning, October 23. His topic is “You Have A Job As A Consultant, But You Have A Career As An Expert.”

“My talk is about breaking away from the pack and succeeding as a lone wolf,” says Weiss, one of only two people in history who has been honored as a Fellow of the IMC and also inducted into the National Speaker Association Hall of Fame. He has written more books on consulting than anyone, ever (64 in 12 languages at this writing).

Join the acclaimed "rock star of consulting" as he explains how the leadership future involves expertise, advising, and remote help—great brains more than pairs of hands, insights more than implementation. In his trademark amusing and contrarian manner, Alan will provide case studies of how members of his global community have prospered by providing expert value while reducing their labor intensity and increasing their fees.

If you want to attract high-paying clients with books and speeches, a limited number of seats are available for this no-cost three-hour pre-conference workshop on Friday, October 22, from 2 to 5 pm at the IMC USA National Conference.

Your hosts, Henry DeVries and Mark LeBlanc, are two best-selling authors who educate consultants that the book is the starting line, not the finish line. They want to help you understand the secrets in the preparation, publication, and promotion of a book that grows your business, puts more money in your pocket, and helps you make the difference that you were meant to make.
