Brando Benifei is an Italian politician and a Member of the European Parliament since 2014.
In his capacity as a member of the Special Committee on Artificial Intelligence in a Digital Age, Benifei has served as the Parliament's lead
apporteur on the Artificial Intelligence Act (2021). He is both a part of the Parliament's delegation to the Conference on the Future of Europe,
and a Member of the Advisory Board of Re-Imagine Europa (RIE), a non-partisan think-tank founded as the first “incubator” for new political ideas.
Benifei has also served on both the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs as well as the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection.
He is a member of several European Parliament Intergroups on critical topics such as Anti-Corruption, the Digital Agenda, and SMEs, to name but a few.
