ICMCI’s Institute Quality Assurance (IQA) Re-authorised under ISO 17011:2017
Enabling Continued Accreditation Authority for National Institutes
Zurich, Switzerland – July 2025 – Following a recent external audit, the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI) is proud to announce the successful re-authorisation of IQA, confirming full compliance with ISO/IEC 17011:2017. This reaffirmation reinforces ICMCI’s and IQA’s ongoing role as an Accreditation Body, enabling it to continue recognizing it’s national member Institutes as Personnel certification bodies aligned with ISO/IEC 17024:2012, the international standard for certifying individuals.
This re-authorisation marks another important milestone in the dedication of both ICMCI and IQA in maintaining the highest levels of professional assurance and quality oversight across it’s global network. Through IQA, ICMCI empowers member Institutes to certify Management Consultants in accordance with internationally recognized standards, ensuring the integrity and consistency of the Certified Management Consultant (CMC®) designation worldwide.

Nicholas Warn, CMC®, ICMCI Chair, emphasized that “This confirmation of IQA’s authorisation as ICMCI’s independent Accreditation Body allows us to ensure that our global standards for management consulting will be upheld so that clients engaging a CMC® consultant can be assured of trustworthy and value adding consulting services.”
The audit, conducted by an independent auditor, reconfirmed adherence to ISO 17011:2017, further strengthening the position of the organisation as a global leader in professional certification infrastructure.
This achievement aligns with ICMCI’s vision to uphold a harmonized and internationally recognized framework for the Management Consulting profession, ensuring mobility, trust, and quality across borders.
