The Global Home of Management Consulting Meets in Bucharest

13th International CMC® Conference & Annual Meeting of Delegates, 21–23 October 2026

ICMCI, the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes, is the global professional body for the management consulting profession. Founded in 1987, ICMCI today unites Institutes of Management Consulting (IMCs) from over 80 countries and territories, setting the international standards by which the profession defines itself. We are the custodians of the Certified Management Consultant (CMC®) designation — the profession's premier international certification, awarded to consultants who meet rigorous standards of competence, independence and professional ethics.

ICMCI played a leading role in developing the first service standard, namely the ISO 20700:2017, the first international standard for management consultancy services.
ICMCI’s mission is simple to state and ambitious to deliver: to raise the standing, standards and recognition of management consulting worldwide. This is met by accrediting national institutes and their certification processes, supporting the exchange of knowledge and best practice between markets, promoting ethical and quality frameworks such as ISO 20700:2017, and giving the profession a single, credible voice with international institutions, governments and clients.

Once a year, that global community comes together in person. In 2026, we meet in Bucharest, Romania, on 21–23 October, at the Sheraton Bucharest Hotel, for the 13th International CMC® Conference — two days of keynotes, master classes and panel discussions under the theme “From, Vision to Value: Consulting for Sustainable Finance”, bringing together consulting leaders, practitioners and partners from every region. This year's Gala Dinner carries a special significance: rather than a new award cycle, we will reunite past winners of the Constantinus International Award to celebrate the legacy of excellence the award has built over the years. The programme also includes an ISO 20700:2017 Self-Declaration Checklist Train the Trainer session for candidates nominated by their institutes.

The conference is immediately followed by the Annual Meeting of Delegates (AMD) on 23 October — ICMCI's annual assembly, where delegates of our member institutes review the year, hold the Board to account and take the decisions that shape the future of the profession.

If you are a delegate, a CMC®, a consultant, or a client of our profession who cares about where this profession is heading, Bucharest is where those conversations will happen — in person, among peers, in one of Europe's most dynamic capitals.

Registration is now open, with early bird rates and preferential hotel prices available until 30 September 2026.
