“i-volution“ – a key success factor for Austria’s and Europe’s future
Education, innovation and implementation to establish Austria as Europe’s innovation hub of the 21st century.

November 21st, 2017 – For the 14th time Austria’s IT and Consulting day was held by the Austrian Professional Association of Management Consultancy, Accounting and Information Technology (UBIT). UBIT Chairman Alfred Harl, CMC, summarizes this year’s main theme: “Our focus lies on the often forgotten strength of Europe as a global innovation driver - with 'i-volution' we want to improve, grow and work together! We have to move forward and look positively into the future. The great developments of the local entrepreneurs, as well as the start-up scene in the past few years are the impressive tokens for the thriving European think-tank. "

Impressive keynotes, interesting talks & discussions
Alongside political and International Council of Management Consulting Institutes’ (ICMCI) representatives from around the world this year’s IT and consulting day offered various highlights. Prof. DDDr. Franz-Josef Radermacher, a German expert on informatics, information technology and various other impressive functions and roles; opened the event with an inspiring keynote on global evolution and innovation, positioning Europe as a pacemaker in the world’s future. After that, the day was filled with different topics in various rooms with expert from all areas, focused on “i-volution” – only from different point of views – accounting, consulting and information technologies.

Milestone: 1000th CMC Award was handed out
The growing success of the industry is reflected by the increasing revenue figures as well as the growing interest in the further education for UBIT members offered by the UBIT incite academy. At this year's IT and consultancy day, a special milestone was achieved: Communication Consultant Karin Wöhrer was honoured with the 1000th award of the international quality certificate "Certified Management Consultant" (CMC). "Objectively, verifiable and certificated, this qualification has already established itself on the market. CMC consultants have a decisive advantage because they not only have first-class professional know-how, but also procedural and soft skills and the clients recognize that!”- explained UBIT chairman Alfred Harl.

Where there is success, there are awards
It was not the only award of the day. As part of the evening, the National Award for Consulting was awarded as well. Austrian Vice Chancellor and minister for science, research and economic affairs Reinhold Mitterlehner announced the winner of this year's award. He emphasized the distinctiveness of the National Award for Consulting as a seal of quality for outstanding achievements in an important industry with overall economic importance. This year, the RISE GmbH was honoured for the project “Paying privacy - the mobile ATM card” with its client Payment Service Austria GmbH.
