Vision: To become the reference community for management consultants in the Republic of Moldova — a recognized, trusted and self-sustaining professional association that elevates the consulting profession to international standards and is recognized nationally and internationally as the Institute of Management Consulting (IMC) for Moldova.
Mission: To strengthen the management consulting profession in Moldova through professional development, CMC certification, strategic partnerships, and advocacy for high ethical and professional standards.
ACAM was founded in Chisinau on 16 March 2018 by 22 senior management consultants, following a UNDP-supported initiative for consultant training and certification. Today it is the sole professional association representing management consulting in the Republic of Moldova, registered as a non-commercial association under Law No. 86/2020. Core values: Integrity, Professionalism, Collaboration, Excellence, Impact.
Strategic Goals:
- CMCI membership and CMC certification: operate a national CMC certification scheme aligned with ICMCI standards (CMC001-008) and progress from Associate to Full Member of ICMCI; 20 CMC-certified consultants by 2028.
- Institutional and governance capacity: transparent governance (General Assembly, Administrative Council, committees), Professional & Certification Committee and Ethics & Disciplinary Committee.
- Professional development and training: ACAM Consultant Academy (micro-qualification aligned with ISO 20700 and the ICMCI Competence Framework), CPD, 25 consultants trained per year.
- Professional standards: implementation of the National Qualification Standard "Business and Management Consultant" (NQF level 7, approved 2025) and the ACAM Code of Ethics aligned with the ICMCI Code of Professional Conduct.
- Strategic partnerships, advocacy and visibility: representing the profession vis-a-vis public authorities, business and international partners; annual international conference; 8 active partnerships.
- Financial sustainability and member engagement: 70 members by 2028, own-revenue ratio 50% by 2028.
- Research and innovation: sector studies, knowledge exchange and digitalization of consulting practice.
